Erik Stolterman
Professor and Director of Human Computer Interaction Design
Indiana University, Bloomington, USA

I have the pleasure of being at the School of Informatics, Indiana University, Bloomington. I am part of the Human Computer Interaction Design group and Director of the HIC/d Program consisting of a two year MS program and a track in the Informatics PhD program.

My work here in Bloomington consists of the usual academic tasks of research, teaching and some administrative duties.

During this semester (Spring of 2009) I will basically be located in Sweden, due to family issues. I will still do most of my work at IU. I will also visit now and then. I am usually reachable through email at any time.

My research interests are Human-Computer Interaction Design, Interaction Design, Information Systems Design & Use, Technology and Society, Philosophy of Design, and Philosophy of Technology. On my Research Activities page these themes are presented a bit more.

I try to explore and formulate som ideas within my interests both in different publications but also on my blog: Transforming Grounds.
