Erik Stolterman
Professor and Director of Human Computer Interaction Design
Indiana University, Bloomington, USA

I have the pleasure of being at the School of Informatics, Indiana University, Bloomington. I am part of the Human Computer Interaction Design group and Director of the HIC/d Program consisting of a two year MS program and a track in the Informatics PhD program.

My work here in Bloomington consists of the usual academic tasks of research, teaching and some administrative duties.

From April 2008 and forward (at least for next semester) I will basically be located in Sweden, due to family issues. I will still do most of my work at IU. I will also visit now and then. I am usually reachable through email at any time.

My research interests are Human-Computer Interaction Design, Interaction Design, Information Systems Design & Use, Technology and Society, Philosophy of Design, and Philosophy of Technology. On my Research Activities page these themes are presented a bit more.

I try to explore and formulate som ideas within my interests both in different publications but also on my blog: Transforming Grounds.
